Let’s rev it up. The article linked below offers an extreme version of something worth keeping in mind, imo. As to us long-time Giants fans: 81+ year old Charles B. Johnson, net worth about $7 billion and the majority owner of the Giants, has an interesting personal history. Apparently, in the past year or so he pulled up most of his stakes in Calif. to avoid taxes, and he funds conservative political causes (anti-union and anti-university-professor-tenure measures among them), But if you’ve been a Giants fan since the 70s (or even earlier), what’s all that mean? Anyway, I hope the guy who wrote this article was dialectically nimble enough to enjoy the game, too:

Interesting article. Glad other people understand the glamorous marketing campaign by the military to get young recruits. Perhaps people in the Bay Area understand the harsher reality of young disabled veterans panhandling on every SF downtown block to fall in step to this ideal.

As to the baseball part, it makes me sick if the BoSox plane story is true.

    Chico bringing sexy back!

Every few weeks I’d check back until I finally accepted that JDR was DOA.
Couldn’t be happier to see you breathe life back into it.

I had given up on the Splash because my old pals Jive7/Buddy5/CallMommie/OhMyNotNow & Captgiddyup took to ignoring my jabs instead choosing to just roll over and take it instead.

The a’s September collapse afforded me a chance to check in on Mossy, BeerNuts & Slats/WinningStreak and that WC loss opened a whole can of PayBack.

For some reason EiO chose to chime in prior to playoffs, I posted he should ignore my posts as they were not for him–but he instead wanted a piece–which he got.

I loved posting about how Billy Boy tried to be a real GM and make moves that were supposed to matter THIS year only to see that the genius wasn’t really smarter than all others–as he so enjoyed being portrayed.

It hit a nerve and I got my SFGate walking papers.

Who knew SF would win a 3rd in 5? It seems it will take Seal Team 6 to find what cave the Splash trolls are hiding in now.

At least BeerNuts is still there explaining how the a’s are better because other teams want their front office people–not the Giants’. How does sweet get sweeter? Just add tears of envy and stir.
