What happened to Xoot’s brilliantly written blog post? It was awesome.

  2. unca_chuck says:

Shit, where’d my spot go? Where did Xoot’s go?

  3. xoot says:

I threw mine in the trash. If you can’t get a laugh, hell, get off the stage. Chuck, if I screwed yours up, I’m sorry.

  4. Chico says:

MOW, if you drive a dark colored pickup, leave it in the garage.. SoCal cops are on edge for good reason, but shot up two older innocent Asian ladies delivering newspapers.. How the cops mistook two ladies for a 6ft, 270 pound African American man is beyond me.

Metallica Night at AT&T Park, Friday May 3rd vs the Dodgers. — I’m in!

What’s the topic of this entry?

I thought shaman and I were reveling in your whiner agony and now there are no words to accompany some silly jints related vid?

I’ve GOT to lodge a complaint with wordpress!

Some of us have moved on to baseball. Now we’re reveling in Giants triumph. Of course, by implication I guess that means we’re reveling in dodger fan agony, too. How many days did the bums hold onto first place last year? The last third of the season was a lot of fun.

      • sandy32koufax says:

“Some of us have moved on to baseball. Now we’re reveling in Giants triumph.”

What this means sis that ome of you are running away from the crushing defeat that was dealt the, formerly, invincible fortywhiners and that some of you are trying to soothe yourselves with happier times.

IDK the answer to your question, sorry. Last season was meh, btw…

        • shaman138 says:

The fact that so many of the Nine-oh fans are reverting to hating on the Raiders in this time of red and gold anguish is making this week an even more joyous experience. It’s easy to kick a team when they’re down, easier to scapegoat the refs, but not so easy to endure a heart-breaking Super Bowl loss that lies squarely on the shoulders of the players and coaches.

          • sandy32koufax says:

Shaman, how much red n gold have you seen in town since Sunday?

I haven’t seen more than 3 or 4 caps and shirts…and they call themselves fans!!

            • shaman138 says:

I’ve seen one or two a day….tops. EVERYBODY on Sunday was decked out in 49er gear and then, nada. In fact, nobody before Sunday was sporting Niner gear, either. Strange fans.

So CHP reports finding dude’s truck near Bear…burned out.

A friend from San D told me they thought that truck was his a couple of hours ago.

How long does Dorner last alone in the woods?

    • Chico says:

I think he has some other stuff up his sleeve.. This is planned out. He’s armed with a 50cal semi auto sniper rifle that can kill from up to a mile away. He’s also well trained w/firearms. He earned ‘expert’ status with handguns.. A buddy of mine that was in the military says that ‘expert’ is really hard to get — best of the best.

    • OMG so I read up on this incident. I did see the warnings along the freeway, asking for drivers to look for a Nissan something.

When we first moved to LA, there was this massive police chase on TV. The chase was moving along the Venice coastline, and would soon go past a friend’s house. We called to tell him that his house would soon appear on TV. Sure enough, we saw him waving at the cameras as the chase vehicle went past his home. Life in LA is true SMH shit.

  8. Chico says:

    Uh oh..
Large Fixed-wing DOD #Intel aircraft call sign “Omaha” just went wheels up from March Air Reserve Base inbound #BigBear

Gene Burns has suffered a major stroke.. Damn, good guy.

  10. Just so you men understand, Traci Lords ruined “First Wave”. My husband and I were enjoying the show until she became a castmember and ruined it for us.

    • Chico says:

Hey, Ron Jeremy resents that remark! ;)

    • sandy32koufax says:

      WTF is “First Wave?”

Traci was never the type to fit in, so to speak…

      • “First Wave” was this sci-fi TV show on during the late 90′s/early 00′s. The lead actor is sweeeet, and the show was good until Traci Lords became a regular. Don’t get me wrong…I like her and think she has a knack for comedy and wit. But it’s sad that her only decent appearance on “First Wave” was when she had to simulate having sex in a police station records room.

        • sandy32koufax says:

Type-casting sucks but that is what she is famous for, ya?

Check out ‘why’ I didn’t know this series:

First Wave (TV series) – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
          en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Wave_(TV_series) – Cached – Similar
First Wave is a Canadian/American science fiction television series, filmed in
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, that aired from 1998 to 2001 on the Sci-Fi …

  13. Don’t forget that the perfect pre-baseball show is coming up this Sunday: The new season of “The Walking Dead”.

    • sandy32koufax says:

      American television…

      I’m impressed.

      • shaman138 says:

A show about the 49ers’ first half last Sunday?

      • The 49ers played the first half?

        • shaman138 says:

Not sure about that, actually–that might have been Beyonce’s entourage disguised as the 49ers.

          • Chico says:

Look at this! Two fans of the North Korea of the NFL are chiming in. Cute.

            • xoot says:

I still bet you when the baseball season overlaps football this year, the Raiders are going to be rolling around in the IF mud with a huge AAA’s tarp above, stretched over Mt. Davis. The Raiders won’t switch to the black-and-silver cartoon image until the AAA’s clean out their lockers.

              • shaman138 says:

You have to wonder if the Great America 49ers are going to build a monorail from Mountain View Caltrain to the stadium. Otherwise, the 101 is going to be a clusterfuck. Meanwhile, as a Raider fan, I must say I’m stoked to be part of a fanbase where everybody but the most well-monied of fans won’t be priced out of a new suburban sprawl mini-mall stadium where generations of loyal season ticket holders find themselves suddenly out in the cold. Rip Al Davis all you want but the Yorks are taking the fans and the poor city of SC for a ride.

                • sandy32koufax says:

The truths of xooter and shaman’s comments aside…

I can’t wait to see what dumbshit ride/attraction(s) the whiners put in and around the stadium. It’s de rigueur with new stadia these days. Theme Stadiums are here to stay.

                • JDR says:

Great America already has a light rail and Amtrack station with connections to CalTrain in San Jose.

Meanwhile, the Raiduhs are tarping off Mt Davis, thus creating the smallest stadium in the league. LA has two different NFL stadium projects in the works and arguably the largest Raiders fanbase in the country (including the Bay Area.) It’s not hard at all to figure out how this ends.

  14. shaman138 says:

I heard the Super Bowl refs are going to make a cameo appearance on Saturday Night Live this week.

  15. From the Onion, “Baseball’s Biggest Offseason Moves”:

Arizona Diamondbacks: Managed to trade their most valuable assets for minimal returns, making this one of their best offseasons ever

Los Angeles Angels: Signed Josh Hamilton knowing he’d feel right at home in L.A. amongst the millions of other recovering cocaine addicts

Cleveland Indians: After being assured they’d keep the announcement out of the press, Nick Swisher reluctantly signed a lucrative contract with the Indians

Atlanta Braves: B.J. Upton signed with the Braves, where he’ll combine forces with his brother to give sportswriters an easy feature piece whenever they’re out of ideas

Miami Marlins: By trading away all of their players, finally able to devote the necessary attention to that giant dumb fountain

Pittsburgh Pirates: Signed three highly rated prospects, who will soon be traded for five other highly rated prospects, each of whom will in turn be traded for two highly rated prospects

New York Yankees: Spent $12 million to acquire services of former Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis in hopes that he can keep up 60 RBI, .235 batting average pace set in 2012

Chicago Cubs: Signed right-handers Kyuji Fujikawa and Scott Feldman to address their glaring bullpen issues, leaving them now only needing to address their glaring batting issues, fielding issues, and management issues

Toronto Blue Jays: Signed one fucking pitch from the Mets for $25 million

  16. Chico says:

Haha! Look at the Splash.. The Timmy – Rachel Maddow photo is hilarious.

  17. sandy32koufax says:

    From hippie to hipster…sellout!

  18. xoot says:

yeah, yeah, who cares. Over on the splash, at a bit after 1 pm, Henry Schulman put up a new post about his most recent interview with Bochy, including interesting things on Romo and Pablo. For the next hour, the only comments on the splash went up on the haircut thread. Together Ann Killion and that new guy sfgate has hired, Jeff Elder, the social media maven, are going to ruin sports coverage on sfgate, or what’s left of it.

  19. Chico says:

Stephen Colbert: Congress ‘Less Popular Than Colonoscopies’ Hahaha!
